Conference TILTing Perspectives 2017: Regulating a connected world

The 5th bi-annual TILTing Perspectives conference will be held on 17-19 May 2017, at the Tilburg University, in the Netherlands. 

Under the overarching theme 'Regulating a connected world', the conference will explore the intersection of law, technology, and society. The three-day event will feature plenary sessions, parallel sessions, and panel discussions structured in several main tracks: privacy, health, intellectual property, and data science. The second European edition of the Privacy Law Scholars Conference will also be held in the framework of the TILTing Perspective conference. Specific themes suggested for the conference include: privacy crimes; surveillance and privacy; privacy in the context of cloud computing and the Internet of Things; security weaknesses in health information systems; the Internet of Health-related Things; 3D printing for health; copyright reform; intellectual property enforcements against intermediaries; online freedom of expression; cybersecurity and data governance; the ethics of data science and related technologies.  

The event will bring together researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and civil society representatives, with the aim to share insights, exchange ideas, and discuss ahdn suggest answers to contemporary challenges related to technological innovation.
